GR says RoC can defend itself against Turkey.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Oracle » Thu May 08, 2008 2:52 pm

I am 100% against war ... but what we have here, are Turks afraid lest we do go down that road .... so they are portraying the wrong scenario intentionally to scare us off the thought ...

Should it be necessary ... it's not just the RoC that Turkey will be fighting against .... but the whole of Europe!

So the main reason no one had better start a war is not because the RoC can't win  .... but because it will be the end of the WHOLE of Turkey ..... and believe it or not; not even I want that!

If the whole population of Turkey was to simultaneously piss in the Med Cyprus would be submerged under water     Defend yourself against that jelly-brain.

That's a present just for you goofball, written last year especially for ATCA where 50+ Turkish brainless extremists were left scratching their heads that the RoC even had a military...

Of course war is a possibility! 37% of the island is under occupation. I am not saying it is likely, but of course it is possible. If Turkey stated tomorrow that the status quo is final and withdrew from EU accession talks, we would have to consider seriously a military option. This is common-sense, except for cowards!

We need a war like we need a hole in our head !!

Given your ZERO experience with anything military, physical or academic, what’s the probability that your opinion is worth reading?

GR, Greece is in a completely different political climate to that in 1974. With the Joint Defence Doctrine, I fully believe that if Cyprus entered into a war with Turkey, Greece would provide support. I believe you would see F-16 jets, Frigates etc with possibly around 30,000 Greek troops.

I'm not a coward as I wouldn't be forced to fight ... and I do understand it could be the only way to rid us of Turkey once and for all ... so it is the Turks that need to appreciate just how patient we have been with them, going down the road of negotiating ..... because I am in no doubt if we went to war, it will be the end of Turkey as we know it!

How far they are prepared to push our patience ... only their foolishness will tell.

Speaking with some experience with Cypriot and Greek forces. It would be a massacre. Greek planes would not get off the ground and Cyprus would be over run in 48 hours.
The British would remain in bases and the EU would react after 72 hours. I fear the Turkish army are extrmely well trained and armed for any military strike. If attacked first they would show little or no mercy.

What's happened to our Turkish Cypriot friends? They seem to have gone all silent... :?

Anyway, since writing that article, I have two more military surprises for our Turkish Cypriot friends who hide behind Turkey’s skirt and wave their little rice stick of bravado…

First, I’d like to introduce you to the RoC’ FIRST home designed and built military vehicle the Onisilos Fast Attack Vehicle...

Second, I’d like to introduce you to the National Guard’s new squadron of infamously deadly Russian Hind MIL-MI35P tank-killer choppers which you can read about here…

With around 24 billion per annum in your wallet, there’s more good news coming this year, but I won’t post just yet… :)

Regards, GR.

An opinion based on no relevant evidence. In dogfights, Greek pilots regularly come out on top over the Aegean.

Greece has a range of sophisticated, modern, technologically advanced weaponry. They would be more than capable of causing huge Turkish losses, and vice versa.

Gr, of course you have a military and of course you'll fight tooth and nail but realistically the end result is a forgone conclusion.

Stop being silly and start accepting the fact us TCs are rightfully in Cyprus. Start showing us respect. Tell your young ones that we are not Barbaric, we are genetically similar and that we can live in peace side by side. That is the only way forward. Your way is just unacceptable by any sensible person.
