I have followed your case for a while now, via your video diaries on youtube, website and posts on certain forums etc
If everything you say is true then you have been indeed treated very badly and you have my full sympathy and support.
I hope your demo goes well.
Just as a footnote, and this is in no way an attack on Conor - why do people, especially Brits, buy offplan at all ? To me it seems like the worst kind of deal imaginable; your life savings invested into a house which does not exist, at the mercy of a developer you do not really know, with no idea how the whole thing will turn out. On top of all that you have no chance to get your title deeds for years - maybe decades, if the developer has the land mortgaged for other projects.
Just the thought of it turns my hair white ! Why would anyone ever put themselves through that ? ? ?
I don;t think what happend to Conor goes on all the time and is a one off J&J.
You do have a point about investing in a company all your money/savings or whatever that you don't really know is a little worrying. We bought off plan back in May 06 and we re-visited the plot September 06 and not much work(well actually none) had taken place and we began to get a little nervous. Thankfully, touch wood, no issues so far.
I am sure Conor did his homework before purchasing but unfortunately he decided to buy from the wrong developer. To me, there is no case at all I don;t understand why it is going on so long. Conor bought the house, has the paperwork, paid the bills etc and I can't believe this is happening.
With the fighting he has done so far, he will win the battle and these jerks he bought from will end up banged up for life.
