Summer time holiday recommendations

Postby fatgeeza » Sat May 03, 2008 4:59 pm

As summer is coming many visitors to the island we all know as the Jewel in the Mediterranean will check out this forum for ideas and recommendations on places to go and things to do during there visit to the Island, so please feel free to mention your favorite places to visit and ideas or advise

Please lets keep it positive, people are looking for fun in the sun everyone can have an off day but if you have a good experience then please share it with us all .......

My favorite restaurant, having visited the Island regally for 30 years and tried many different eateries, is Caravelle restaurant near St Georges Hotel, in Chlorika, Paphos, along the tomb of the kings road, established now for over 7 years, and open all year round the food is great but the friendly service is better, a good all round family restaurant catering for the tourist where an average evening meal for 4 will cost €100, it is a little bit more expensive than most other restaurants in the area but it offers an un hurried experience, roof top bar and Wifi access for those wanting a working lunch.

Thanks Oracle, I guess my opening paragraph was not specific enough either that or others would prefer to keep private there great experiences of life on the island, and provide a false impression to island visitors. Best to ignore these comments and provide factual information in the spirit of openness and welcoming to people visiting the island.

No point in rising to this childishness, it is a public forum and people are free to say what they want.

Cheers

My friends and I did a trek through the Akamas the other week and I have to say that we were all very disheartened by the amount of spent gun shells! A great place of beauty - so obviously spoilt! :x :x
