Salamis allows you to ship your car from Pireaus and meet it in Limassol 2 days later (fly Athens - Larnaca). Getting to Pireaus, try the ferry from Ancona - Patras (21 hours), then it's only a few hours drive to Athens. Nice route through Europe if you have the time, or the inclination!
