Atheist groups in Cy?

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

Unbelievable ? Precisely because the credulous are satisfied with such an abysmally low level of evidence - close to, often actually zero. And inconsistently satisfied : so a zero-evidence claim which supports their own position is accepted, but a shed load of evidence demonstrating the contrary is rejected.

Example 1 : God made woman from the rib of a man.
Example 2 : Jesus was the son of God, and God at the same time.
Example 3 : Mohammed the illiterate receives the word of god to be committed to text.
Example 4 : Hopping-gurus bouncing round India is conducive to holiness.

Organised religion hitherto is largely the promotion and celebration of fundamental irrationality. It has turned credulity into a virtue, and turned human curiosity and scepticism into a crime.

Quite a talent for reading in between the lines you have there. An athiest group discussing Atheism wouldn't have a lot to talk about. "There is no god." "Agreed" "So...er....urm" however there is a tendency for them to gather together in places where religion and state arn't quite so seperated so I wanted to check if there was one here.

And as for the reasoning, Athiests tend to be people that don't accept many concepts that are bandied around as facts these days, they have a more inquistative mind, and can sustain a intelligent discussion beyond ad hominem attacks....which brings me to...

Perhaps what you're really looking for is the opposite... devil worshipping but can't bring yourself round to say so? :?

You can't believe in the Devil without believing in God...so no. Personally I find the concept of hell and the Devil one of the more despicable aspects of religion.

Either way one looks at it you're a weirdo...

I refer you to my previous comments. "lol"

This forum can provide you with far more than what such a group can so stick around. Gather your thoughts, start a thread in the appropriate section, and see...

I've been around for awhile, just not completely active due to a lack of internet access. Not to put down the forum (I'm most definately an advocate of online communication, being a computer engineer and having been online since 97) there are other methods of socialisation!

I keep telling my wife to return it but she doesn't listen... :(

Example 2 : Jesus was the son of God, and God at the same time.

Celestial entities are beyond the scope of mankind... 8)

Example 3 : Mohammed the illiterate receives the word of god to be committed to text.

God claims to have created the cosmos let alone make an illiterate man write scripture...

Example 4 : Hopping-gurus bouncing round India is conducive to holiness.

Taking a bath in the Ganges is conducive to cleanliness... go figure!

We tried "communicating" in the flesh on several occasions but in my opinion failed miserably as everyone was too preoccupied with food and drinks they had ordered... :? nothing beats online debates where food, drinks, toilets, faces, clothes, and many other distractions, are out of the way.

The Ganges is one of the shittiest rivers in the world, especially around Allahabahd. You wouldn't want to wash there.

And your wife knows full well that she owes you nothing !

Oh right... that kind of communication you're on about!

I guess Atheists would be great to have a few drinks with... they'll tell you all about the God that got away...
