If you're thinking what I'm thinking then yes that would be dandy but it takes a very special bunch for that to work...

That means Umit that you can only live in the 18% of Cyprus that constituted the TC areas! Are you aware of this, or you think your area of Cyprus is what Turkey grabbed in 1974, after ethnically cleansing all the GCs from their thousands of years old territories? Do you think you can have your cake and eat it too?

Firstly why 18 % as far as I know the amount of TC land on the entire island is around 25 %. Be careful I did NOT vote for Partition, I voted for a federal system where GC's can live over here.

1. No you do not have 25% of the land! You only have 12.3% of the total land, or only about 17% of the total private land! Tell your leaders who keep lying to you, to check the 1960 land registry books better! You know …those “tapu” records that the RoC inherited from the British!

2. "Where GC's can live over here" as what? As second class citizens and /or as foreign visitors /immigrants in a "foreign" country, like you wanted to have made their return under the Anan plan?

Kifeas,

Don't forget we are at an advantage of having 37% of Cyprus. It is purely the end result of your own doing. So please take that into account before offering us a ridiculous percentage.

Are you people not aware that you are second in this race? If this was a horse race would you back the GC? Please don't speak from your heart or even your backside. Look at the facts and then think long and hard before you shoot your mouth off, because when its all over you may all have to eat humble pie.

This poll is open only to those people who would’ve been eligible to vote had this been a real political referendum for the whole of Cyprus.

Regards, GR.

I am extremely unhappy with the undemocratic, despotic restictions placed on this poll. Who is organising this poll - the Turkish Army ?

I am of the view that anyone of Cy ancestry, irrespective of his/her present day place of refuge from the 74 invasion, should have an equal say in this poll.

The next thing you'll know is that the votes of the illegal "settlers" will count for more than Cys of the diaspora. Sorry, I forgot that's what happened with the Anon referendum of a while ago.

Equal rights for all ( except the "settlers").

No offence Bill, but I was just hoping to get a feel of the outcome of such a referendum from eligible voters as opposed to “outside” opinion, but please go ahead and vote… it’s alright. :)

I am grateful to H and GR for their encouragement to vote but I have to say I have been reluctant to take part in a poll where the "settlers" have a vote equal to legitimate members of both the long standing communities and their respective diasporas, otherwise I fear we fall into the trap set for us by the RoT by the "fixing" of the electorate and hence the outcome of the poll.

Can we exclude "settlers" from this and future polls/referend(a)(ums) please?

(Notwithstanding the above I have voted for 5.)
