I am now at long last resident in Limassol district and loving it

This question has probably been 'done to death' but i am getting conflicting information wherever i ask, can any forum members or visitors help?

I would like to become self employed, my obvious question is how do i go about it and who do I need to register with?

Hi David

You will have to register with Immigration and your Alien Card should describe you as 'Employment'. You must also register with the Department of Finance, Social Security and VAT office.

yeah, and change your location to Limassol rather than Essex......but it probably won't be long before you are homesick

However, it will pass.

As they say, you can get used to anything, except hanging!

Cyprus is an alright place to live, but don't burn your UK bridges just in case!

a good idea changing my location but I don't know how.

I won't be burning all bridges to england but as for homesickness; the first time i visited Cyprus six years ago this island felt more homely to me than england ever did (slushy but true).

Top right hand corner you will see a little man image with profile, click on that then it will take you to the page to change your location, when finished bottom of page click on o.k, hope that helps.
