Lana

I do not know about Paphos exactly but in Nicosia, Larnaca & Ayia Napa/Protaras my pricelist is correct. I expect that this summer the prices might even be higher therefore I suggest you have as much money as possible to avoid misfortunes.

Have a nice vacation. :)

Well Whatever has to come....

We'll stay at Louis Beach at Larnaca and we've booked all inclusive so while at hotel no problem
Anyway we're planing to go all arround, because my husband has never been there so I want to show him a little bit of all the places and it means that sometimes we'll have to eat and drink out.
I assume that when we get back we'll have to limit our activities to save money again. but what hollydays are for it not to have fun and forget everydays worries ...

Join the Euro that's what I say !!

You have got to be talking about pre-decimal coinage here, right? :?
Some of us have never heard of this foreign stuff - and I mean the (young) Brits!!

Local timeshare place (tourist apartments) a large bottle of Keo cost around €3 and a soft drink (can) is €1.70 - that's in a suburb of Limassol not on the main tourist strip.

Usually, the tourist areas are all competing with each other so you will find varying prices wherever you go.

I dont think they are looking to buy beer & soft drinks at a local grocery store :? (at least I wouldnt if I was on vacation). What are the prices in a good restaurant, bar or cafe in Limassol?

I assume bringing sterling and changing to euros in Pathos is OK.
Is their a water shortage problem at the moment?
I'm hoping the Laura Beach hotel is OK.
TIA,
Chris.

Try and get a trip or two north from Paphos up to the Akamas - the north-west tip ( may need a 4wd for the last bit ? ) and have a look at Polis and Latchi, Pomos, Pyrgos, again all north of Paphos. Get up in to the mountains as well. All very nice, memorable places, but don't whatever you do spend any time in Limassol :)
