NOT SIGNED!

In her haste to help animals, Elena Theodosiou (the petitioner) made the foolish mistake of singling out Cyprus despite the fact that far more animals are getting ill-treated every year in “civilised” countries like the US and UK! I have posted links a number of times on this matter and today I bring to you yet another animal horror story…

In some states of the United States, it is actually legal to have sex with animals (bestiality) and here’s the evidence…

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenneth_Pinyan

This is a small sample of the kind of SICK people you’ll find in the “land of the free” !!!

So to Elena Theodosiou I say… campaigning against animal cruelty is an honorable thing but please do it right!

Regards, GR.

If I might stress that I am no expert in this sort of thing but having read the article I see that the animals in question were the dominant penetrators (as it were) and this Pinyan chap was the receptive receptor.
If this was the case then presumably there was a large measure of consent on the part of the animals and presumably of Pinyar and if they were adult animals, I see no harm in consenting adults having it off in these unnatural ways. :D

Here’s plenty more links of animal cruelty which I hope you’ll also pass along to all your friends…

“The most recent national statistics released by the RSPCA reveal Australia’s most trusted animal welfare charity investigated 38,913 complaints in the previous financial year (05/06).”

The number of animals used in scientific procedures in Great Britain increased by 3.3% last year, culminating in a seven-year high of 2.66 million animals, according to the British government's 2002 report on animals used.

“Animal cruelty convictions rose by more than 50% in Wales last year, the RSPCA has said.”

True to form Plonker !! No one is denying that cruelty to animals and to children exists in most countries of the world. The lady focused on Cyprus cruelty to anaimals since she is a Cypriot !!To deny its existence or in your case to denigrate the efforts of this lady to bring to the fore that cruelty to animals is indeed a practice that must not be tolerated in Cyprus. Why are you so full of crap mate !

For your info, in Cyprus there's between 0...3 cases of animal cruelty reported p/a, but in the US, UK, and Australia, there's like tens or even hundreds of thousands each, so go figure…

Anyone who decides to initiate an international petition on any given issue has an obligation to do so responsibly by first educating themselves on international facts otherwise you end up with comments like…

Norman Wolstenholme , United Kingdom
Its about time Cyprus became more civilised, as regards animals, and came in line with the rest of Europe.

Tony Menechella , Kentucky
It sounds like Cyprus is a close relation to China!!! Stay away from both places!!!

John Hickman , United Kingdom
I would have to think hard before booking a holiday in Cyprus. Pity because I have heard its a beautifull place. But not for animals.

These British and American fools, are obviously oblivious to the fact that their respective countries are the BIGGEST VIOLATORS of animal cruelty in the world, while places like Cyprus have the lowest of animal cruelty reports and yet cop all the blame with irresponsible petitions like this, while these fools continue to blissfully assume that their countries are ok…

there is a little bit of a difference between populations of cy vs. usa. of course you will find more incidents whree there is more population. however, in USA, crimes against pets are prosecuted, unlike in CY.
