I think tavli is boring now that hubby has taught me (after being taught by my dad ) ... hate throwing dice ... leave nothing to chance is my motto...

I dont think the Cypriots are cynical at all. They do not tolerate fools easily and they generally call a spade a spade . They like to take the piss out of the absurd and the ridiculous where most Europeans just accept the bizarre and ridiculous with a shrug of the shoulders and a raise of the eye brows . Some time back a young man came into our showroom and I couldn't help noticing this great big nail protruding from his lower lip down to the end of his chin. I chuckled , looked him up and down and said " What the fuck are you doing with this bloody nail man , are you f..ng stupid or just plain thick !! Hes never been back since !!!
There was this woman with this contraction stuck up her nostrels , a bit like a gerato , I said to her " what did you have for breakfst hay or what !!

I was chairman of our college chess club many years ago. I asked the secretary of the club ( a young lady from Thailand) to put a large poster in the common room about the club. Later my tutour asked me if there would be regular tastings at the CHEESE club
