What strange and perverted justification is there for this view?

I am pretty sure that some of these members live near me here in London, GB enjoying the freedoms of a reasonably law respecting place. Why shouldn't they feel the same should apply to Cy?

Could it be that they benefit in some way from the situation on the ground in Cy and from these "spoils of war" stolen for them by the murdering rapists of the Turkish army?

Maybe its because the Brits never attacked us. Never tried ethnically cleansing us or have never spat at us calling us dirty Turks.

You do the crime now shut up and do the time. The shit you are in is the result of your actions. Nobody else can be blamed.

I am a Brit mate/matess born, bred and most likely die here in London, England.

Never called anyone a Turk, dirty Turk, B'stard Turk or any other combination, but despite that the nice Turkish army felt it ok to show their regard for the laws of war by raping my late grandmother and two aunts (may they and their attackers find peace). Par for the course in Cy in that summer of 74 I suppose.

As for the "crime" any sane person would only add rewriting history to lack of regard for the law.

Ethnic Cleansing? another rewrite of history.

So we have rewriting history to add to disregard for the law.

Next you'll be telling us that black is white and white is black !!!!

...rubbed out of the north by a rewriting of history

Black is black. White is white. Greeks are Greeks, Greek Cypriots are Greeks. Never trust them, they are selfish, liars, racist and the most difficult race to reason with. Worst than the Jews. now that's saying something.

I think the turks are the worst race on the earth. You believe your own bollocks you spout. Yes the GC's did want enosis and killed TC's but dont sit their and say you turks never harmed anyone. How many Kurds and Armenians did the turks kill but hey let's forget about that.

How many GC's were killed by the TC extremists back in the 60's oh lets forget about that. How many civilians did the Turks kill and rape in 1974 oh let forget about that.

You make me sick you ignorant twat. Hope one day your family suffers as much as the my family did in 1974.

If you tossers didnt side with Brits nothing would of happen to you. But hey the turk are always right. The time will come when Turks will get what's coming to them.

Unitedwestand is trying to show bravado as they try to forget the guilt and shame associated with their actions.

You are right George, their time will come and they will get what they deserve for their hubris, fear not.

I was admiring a 700 year old olive tree today. It was already a few hundred years old before the Ottomans even arrived.

It's outlived the Venetians. It's outlived the Ottomans, it's outlived the British rule and it outlived the demanding era of the TCs ... a TC's empty house is close by. And soon the era of the "trnc" will be over and the olive tree will still be here along with us natives, who love this country and want to keep it whole. We will still be here as we have been for thousands of years with our country, once again for Cypriots..

Outlived the Ottoman?

Are you sure?

TRNC over?

...this is interesting. the foil of so much hostility speaks reason... in defence of a love of this island. while others demonstrate the venom which can kill us all. Turks vs. Greeks is not the fight. the barbarism is a symptom. being "Greek" or "Turkish" is not the problem either.

here OP fights Intolerance while you guys gaze at your navels as though there is no womb. I would like to laugh but it is too sad. she demonstrates tolerance and a love for this land, while you guys bark like dogs who are not in the hunt but still seek the quarry. If you are "Turk" or "Greek" you fail yourselves; first you are Human, and as this island's dwellers, Cypriot. such poor comparisons to "Jews" is shameful, and most revealing.

bill, peace to your soul, there are few like you. thank-you, and i stand beside you in this fury.

Dont hold your breath, we will be around for a very long time to come, all we are wating for is for the talks to break down or for either side to reject a new plan, whos knows it might be our turn this time, of course its within our rights just like the GCs.

VP, still talking your nonsense of stalemate again. I'm not denying your existence, your denying me mine in north Cyprus. And dont YOU hold your breath thinking things will stay like the way they are in your STOLEN PARADISE. I'll let you have an orgy overload in your warped mind that "TRNC" will exist, just till the end of June. Then I'll hit you over the head with my reality stick.

I am confident that knowing Cypriots on both sides of the divide well we will still be in the same situation well into the future, the chasm is to wide and neither side is willing to compromise we will either have a break down of talks or a plan will be produced that one side will reject and I predict this time it will be the TCs who resoundingly say NO.

That's a very optimistic viewpoint ... just waiting for talks to break down

Says it all ... or is it a Freudian slip? ..... either way it's what we have suspected all along ...

You are not willing to negotiate, you have what you always wanted ..... we have given you long enough to play this pretence game of looking for a solution.

Now it is up to us to restore normality to our country. You have self-declared a lack of participation in a resolution.

The TCs have not taken this round of talks to seriously and they are waiting for them to break down, this is a sign that TCs have lost their belief that a solution will be found, just like me they cannot see either side compromising enough to solve this problem. The chasm is to wide, you want a GC state with us as a minority and we want BBF with political equality of both communities.

Why not do the honourable thing and stop wasting everybody's time?

Come clean with your position ... your lack of desire to change the situation.

Walk away and declare you are happy, without recognition, and with "embargoes" in exchange for other people's land.
