Paphos...Cycle Friendly?

Postby Xybadog » Thu Apr 17, 2008 9:16 pm

In the South East there are very good cycle paths around the area from Agia Napa to Nissi Bay to Agia Thekla and beyond.

As I've never been to the Paphos area before I was wondering if there are cycle paths in the area and if it, too is a "cycle-frindly" area.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Xybadog ...

There are new cycleways between Polis and Latchi ... but you are best going off road for the best cycling experiences (Akamas. Paphos Forest etc) ..... and then would hardly meet any cars.

Hi Oracle.

Thanks for the reply. I definately want to hit the both the areas you've mentioned and in the Troodos. I was just wondering if the cycle paths have reached that part of the island. I thought it was maybe just an initiative in the Agia Napa area.

Yeh, I've had experience of the driving in Cyprus. But it's 1000 times worse in Rome and other areas.

Rotty turn your Caps Lock off (It's rude to SHOUT in a forum). You'll get some sh*tty comments from some members, naming none (CG) , if you SHOUT.

The Kit-Kat aint there really, and if it is it doesn't mean you've gotta eat it.

Have a glass of water instead, this will fill you up and help stop the craving.

You got me thinking about Bounty bars now :?

I find it easy to get round the cravings now. It takes time but it's worth it.

Last time we walked around the Artemis trail (think it was this one!) around Troodos we came across about 20 cyclists going around the track too!!
They were very fit, young looking men - squaddies methinks!! :P
Maybe you could try this track too!
