guys, I tried all three companies over the last couple of years. First I was with cyta, but their technology is old and I was getting disconnected all the time. And you want them to fix something it's like a slow goverment process. So I switched to primetel and i'm happy now. They are more upbeat with things... you're dealing with a private company and not goverment and they care more. Plus my internet now is very stable.
I made the mistake to get cablenet at my other house just to try them. Guys they suck... they had to drill my walls to get their cable. Ths company is like 5 people that run it, you can never get a hold of them. Plus the 10Mbps i'm paying is only in my dreams. Anything more than 2mbps doesn't make a difference for anything.

are you kidding? adsl is shit!!! you have to be next door to the exchange to get any good speeeds plus they dont offer up to 10mbit with a 1mbit upload like cable and cable doesent use the phone line to connect and u get a static ip and adsl just sucks from whatever isp u get it because they all use cyta lines just like in england all the isp uses BT phone lines and just like mtn uses so easy phone lines to provide service

CABLE WINS EVERY TIME.. its only flaw is that its very limited and i cant get cable in my village :(

I think you are working for primetel ;) Cyta has the best support and you can use i-choice with some other ISP (not Cytanet) for best results. Cablenet has the best speeds and best value for money but their support is not great and they are only in very few places :( Primetel ... they are trying to gain customers with offers while they tie you down with a yearly contract and their support is not great.

THEY CAME AND INSTALLED EVERYTHING TODAY AND STILL CAN'T BELIEVE HOW FAST I CAN SURF THE NET. NO MORE FUCKING CYTA AND SPIDERNET AND FUCKING ICHOICES.

CALL THEM NOW AT 130 OR GO TO THEIR WEBSITE AT WWW.CABLENET.COM.CY

CableNet is the best ISP in Cyprus. I had a 10mb/s internet connection with CableNet, put your interest in CableNet so they can put this in your area.

It goes like this...

CYTA = high availability
PrimeTel = Mid Availability, better than CYTA
CableNet = Low Availaibility, better than PrimeTel

Cyta has currently been competing well in the market, so I can argue and say it's comparing well to PrimeTel. As some of it's products are good, with good customer support.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Cablenets support is shite, Cyta isn't much better. Spidernet was excellent support-wise until they were taken over by Primetel (in the last few months). Now I am still officially with Spidernet, but most of the support is provided by Primetel. Fortunately I can still get hold of a couple of the original Spidernet people, so it is not too bad.

'The higher speeds are irrelevant most of the time as the sites you visit can't handle them, 1 MB is quite often as good as 10 MB.

So spidernet will not offer adsl via i-choice anymore?

I don't agree. Most sites can upload a lot more than what you can download. Usual websites such as this one have a lot small files on each page and there should be a separate request for each file. This means that for such sites latency is more important than bandwidth and 10MB will not make much difference from 1MB. But try downloading a bigger file or watch an HD video and then 10MB will make huge difference. You can't watch HD video with 1MB connection without a lot of buffering. Try to download a file while watching a video with 1MB and see what happens!

I know SNET very well, and I know you are talking rubbish, so stop speaking this propaganda. I never had a problem with CableNet, their support is not bad, whenever I had a problem I use to go to them personally and they always helped me. I never suffered any disconnections or any lack in speeds. You can call them, if you cannot solve your problem via phone, you can always go in person.

Did I mention their prices, yep, fairly good I must say. I am always out of the country, and CableNet let me pause my subscription without much problem, and there is no contract tie in either, so what's to complain about.

10mb is not as good as 1mb, seriously, I think you should take a reality check. I suppose 10mb is as good as 100mb then. I use the internet all the time, trust me, it makes a difference.

It may make a difference for people that just spend all day downloading porn, but serious internet users will not see a lot of difference between 1 MB and 10 MB with most sites.
