It happens every year this time. I remember once in highschool, the dust was so thick, that the classes stopped and everyone got out to watch. It alwso started to rain with thunder, and it was really surreal.
Some younger girls started crying cause someone spread the rumor that it was the end of the world.

It was such an amusing day :D

Or,............it may just be all the house proud Cypriot ladies are sweeping their paths at the same time!!!!

Seriosly though - there was a bad sand storm last year and several people were hospitalised with breathing difficulties.

Don't you know? Pseudo states aren't visible through dust...

Oh look, when I enlarged the image I can see a border marked in blue.

I think I can even see the TRNC flag.

On closer inspection, it appears southern cyprus is quite mountainous and i guess those regions would be uninhabital, the northern part looks quite flat and fertile.... :wink:
