More light shed on the events of 1963

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

3 Centuries is a little further than just "trying" don't you think Piratis.

We have been here for 3 centuries but you are willing to go back so far in order to claim more ownership on the island over us. THATS why you are full of cack!

I personally have no wish nor will to be working with people like yourself, whether you call it "democracy" or you call it "indigenousnes" or "Cypriotnes", i simply see them all as various ways of getting back on track with your centuries old racist agenda and anyone who buys your hijacked "human rights" claims is an utter idiot.

This is a very typical Greek argument that has been so overused by you people it actually means nothing anymore.

Basically, i would hate to have to trust you under any circumstances, hopefully we never will.

If you want a permanent solution and peace that can come only when all foreign troops leave from our country, and Cypriots are allowed to rule their own island in a democratic way. "Solution" and peace via our capitulation will never come.

The army will leave it is in your hands but you have to agree an overall solution for them to leave as this is only part of the bigger deal.

Do you at least acknowledge that the GCs were "planning" to annihilate us??

One thing is to say what Christofias said, that GCs also committed crimes during the inter communal conflict, which is something true, and another thing is to try to blame the intercommunal conflict on GCs, when it is a fact that the inter-communal conflict started in 1958 when the TCs attacked the GCs as part of their agreement with the British Colonialists to defeat the liberation struggle of Cypriots.

This is part of the story why we don't trust you.
You even lie about your aims. I never heard or saw any slogan in the 1950s except enosis. Nothing about Cypriots or liberation. After the truce and the Constitution of 1960 you tried to bring it about again by violence in 1963/4, and again in 1974. By economic means inbetween. Since at least the 19th Century GCs have been trying for enosis by one means or another. Everything you say convinces me, and according to a recent poll 97% of TCs, that we must have guarantees backed, if necessary, by a country willing to use force.

Enosis = Liberation. Like it happened to all other Greek territories and islands. Weren't those other Greek territories and islands liberated from their foreign rulers (at very different times) in order to create the Free Greek Republic?

The last ones where Rhodes and Dodecanese which were liberated and united (=enosis) with the rest of the Greek state in 1948. Did it mean that because there was a Turkish minority on Rhodes that the Greek people there were not allowed to be free???

Right. So every Greek is racist because it they fought to liberate their lands from the foreign invadors. The whole of Greece should have been part of Turkey if we go by your theories.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the people of a territory to want their self-determination and liberation from their rulers.

Your minority can stay in Cyprus as equal Cypriot citizens, but you have no right to force what you want on this island against the will of the great majority of Cypriots.

Do you at least acknowledge that the GCs were "planning" to annihilate us??

No. What the GCs wanted was the freedom of their island from foreign rulers. In the 50s we were fighting against the British for our self-determination and you attacked us in 1958 with the demand that we should be annihilated from half of our island. And as you know your plans were not just some imagined theories like the ones you accuse us, but actual plans of annihilation which you put into action soon after.

Yours were imaginary? So the mass graves are full of imaginary bodies? Just because you have failed it makes them no less real.

I say if you are right than 300 years gives us enough right to fight for our freedom too, you cant have it both ways Piratis.

These mass graves ... what numbers do you have? And how do they compare with GCs killed by Turks?

When have we betrayed you?

On the contrary, it is the Turks that hold the dubious honour of being untrustworthy.

Your freedom meant our anniahaltion as we were in your way to reaching your goal of gifting Cyprus to Greece, but you forgot our right to fight for survival, anihilation from half the island is a great deal better than total annihilation, you are still a blind man and will never find peace within your sole as you are unable to acknowledge that your enosis = union dream was the cause of your own anniahalation from 37% of the island.

Comparison or numbers don't make them any less of a "mass grave" Phoenix, its the motive behind the actions and the clear sign of their direction IF they were not interrupted.

Plus if you insist on number comparison, we can always say that it was proportionate.

You have more people therefore more casualties.

So proportionally we suffered the same casualties?

Then perhaps we were not out to annihilate you ..... but just as you suffered losses so did we "proportionally" ....

And have you thrown out this "fair" idea of proportionality when it comes to either representation in a democratic government or presently with what you illegally occupy?
