Let me explain something to you in very simple terms. The Cypriots are currently held hostage by Turkey and their demands will be so great due to the fact that they do not want a solution as it is not in their interests. In the end we will have another unfair plan that the GCs can not accept.

I am also thinking TC's and EU held hostage by ROC. Their one sided demands also so great that they don't want solution .TC's demand was very basic.

So you want the 18% to be politically equal to the 82%. That would mean that your 1 vote is equal to 4 of ours. What makes you so special for you to request over 400% more political power than myself? You will find that this is an unnacceptable demand.

As for guarantees from Turkey, you will also find that this demand will be unnacceptable.

It seems apparant that a solution will not occur because Talat and Turkey do not want a solution.

Let's face it everyone. The Turks will never accept a fair solution. If it means they have to allow the GC's to return to the homes. They have sold a lot of our land so it's not in their interest.

Talat's trying to be clever. He's saying the right things even doing the right things like crossing over to the GC side to show his human side. The reality is he cant do jack shit with out the Turkish Military approval.

Turkey expects us to hand over most of the occupied land. Well lets hope Christofias is strong and doesn't accept another annan plan.

To be honest I'd rather we accept partition where we get back some of our land and let the TC's go it alone with their Turkish brothers. If they to be in the EU then they can apply for it on their own.

And that's when we can get our own back by refusing to allow them or Turkey into the EU.

You see, Halil, our demands are even more basic and simple! Respect to the human right of each every Cypriot, to be able to live in any part of his country and have accesses and possession to his maternal home and properties; to have all his political and cultural rights fully respected anywhere in his country, as an equal individual to everybody else; and our fundamental right as a nation-state to have a truly independed and sovereign country, like all the rest of civilized nations on earth, and not the subject of foreign intervention rights!
