How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

How about that for an honest answer Zan...

Whats wrong with my answer...It was an honest answer and didn't take the piss out of anyone...What I said is true..."turkey=fascist state" needs to collect, as a state, taxes...Taxes make the country go around...Re-investment were is needed...

You say they have plans...what?... borrowings to finance the running of the state?

What horror stories do you associate with what I said Zan...Collection of state tax is a horror story?...I am afraid collection of tax is a must for a country...with out it there is no infrastructure...period...and god knows I pay my fair share...

If the population increases the tax reveniew should reflect that...not the other way around...

Let the people have greater ability to pay taxes before taking away from them Boomers.....The money is circulating within Turkey......More money is coming in.....Perhaps they did the sums and came up with a way to pay it back over a longer term..I am not an economist by any stretch of the imagination but I can see that perhaps this has it's advantages......80,000,000 people and growing.....Possible oil revenue if Turkey and Greece can agree drilling rights.....It's called planning for the future.......

Zan I am talking of today and you are talking of tomorrow...Mate it doesn't work like that...Tax collection is a must...

With your plan, let people have greater ability to pay taxes before you take it away doesn't wash...just tax them at a lower level...Thats all...But end of the day everyone has to pay taxes...This is what makes the wheels go around...

You say 80 million and growing, but less paying taxes as the country grows is not healthy as the article reports...

Anyway I gave you an honest answer without the normal pissothon time to hit he sack...

Tommora mate

PS...I hope your son's team won...

Investment is correct but not when it comes to putting into debt via the IMF for years to come...Currently "turkey=fascist state" occupies the number 2 spot at IMF...this alone should be ringing bells...

I could be wrong but a country with so much debt and with massive IMF loans has not made any inroads and not only that the reliance hasn't stop...

End of the day the IMF requirements for all these loans is the sale states assets at bargain basement...and management of money which could prove, as is the case with "turkey=fascist state" medling with the pension system...I believe there are current demonstrations in "turkey=fascist state" as we speak...

End of the day Zan taxes have to be collected with IMF loans or not...Sweepping everything under the carpet with creative accounting is not the solution...

Gentlemen,
How does Turkey's tax collection activities affect Cyprus, does anyone on this forum believe that by highlighting Turkey's ability/inablility to collect tax that this will somehow translate to a win for GC's or thr RoC?
Turkey economy is an emerging economy, one which hasnt yet reached it potential yet. It will contiue to grow and Turkey will continue to invest heavily in its armed forces, and its resources, i cant see how this translate into a victory for the RoC??

Anything to demonise Turkey and make it look incompetent always makes the Greeks and GCs feel as if they won a major war against Turkey and that Turkey will collapse and cease to exist.

Ah well, if it makes them feel good let them dream.

The relevance of this discussion is the economics of "turkey=fascist state" and how this subject will come up sooner than later within the scope of her EU aspirations...

Now I find it strange that as the population increases the tax revenue falls...

Big Al, if creative accounting is dodgy, it must be exposed, coz its the population that suffers one way or another...I am not saying I am on a crusade here but coming from OZ, where we have the fair go mentality I can't sit back and not question it...I am sure you can appreciate this...

It has nothing wanting bad for turkey or her populaton...If anything what I am suggesting.discussing is a plus...

We want a prosperous turkey for the simple fact it will draw us closer together in the long run...

Contrary to what dickhead Eric I want a turkey slap says...
