How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

zan wrote:So by asking "If I were a Turk I would hate what Oracle is doing" and then going ahead and doing it anyway is your style of thinking......You don't post history woman. You post hurt on a plate and seem to revel in it.

I like Birs idea on how to behave but he seems to have trouble adhering to it. If you put on the cloak of super hero... then you had better be up for the part!!!!

We are about learning Zan ... sometimes that hurts .... so long as it doesn't destroy you, it should make you stronger as a Human being.

.... if you post again, I won't be around to reply for a couple of hours.

Well then also learn to accept what type of teacher you are......

Bir is the hippie that goes off in a world of his own and thinks he knows everything there is to know.

You are the teacher with her hair in two buns and a ruler at the ready to rap around the knuckles of any child that dares take offense to your offensive ways.

Me....I shouldn't do me really should....It would be too flattering

So I posted a graphic historical account of an invasion scene by Saljuk Turks and then a comparison to the flaying technique used by the Ottomans when they invaded Famagusta ...

No one has actually condemned theses barbarous acts.

Umit tried to justify them with one act of self-defence.

Birkibrisli was angered ... not at the atrocities but anger directed at me for posting this history.

Why go to the bother of attacking me for posting a record .... but omit to condemn or discuss the actual atrocity .... I find that hard to understand.

Preference shown to attacking a perceived "intention" whilst ignoring the historical portrayal of events.

Then Zan tells me I was not posting history but hurt on a plate.

A diversionary sympathy card appeal. Failing to address the atrocities ... but accusing me of wanting to hurt ...

Basically I see a failure to condemn this history as a fear of admitting guilt by association.

Our past history may hurt us or make us angry, but we should not deny that it has brought us to where we are today.

I am indeed farting and pissing in the wind...

Bir you are a good guy ... but

 I haven't seen Bir pissed off like this in all the time that I've known him... :?

Consider taking heed of his words because making people angry on purpose is one of the EASIEST things in the world, and nothing to be proud of.

Ooohhh you are such a good boy GR!

Don't worry Bir is usually angry with me.

But why do you GR! assume I made him angry on purpose?

I did not even post to him ... or to anyone in particular.

Have you even bothered to look at the information GR! or are you more interested in furthering troubles?

I recorded an interesting Historical reference on my thread, where I could always turn to it as I need to. It was not propaganda, it was not personal opinion ... it was a Historical reference.

Bir chose to get angry at me (instead of the article - major mistake, but he is only Human)... We all choose how we react to things, I cannot stop him.

I certainly will not change to suit him nor you, merely for acceptability. Only Admin have a say in what I post as it is their site. All else are equal.

So stop feigning sycophantic reverence to show how naughty Oracle is just because you have a personal gripe

My anger,if you can call it that, was because it is so easy and so destructive to keep talking about the atrocities of the past, while trying to put the blame for your/our/one's present troubles on one side alone...What is the point???History is history. And,Oracle, you are intellignet enough to know that history is very subjective...Depending on who is writing it and when and for what purpose...

I was angry, and disillusioned because your ,and many other people's posts, are doing nothing to advance the peace and harmony between Cypriots, something essential if we are to ever find a solution...You seem to be hell bent on trying to vilify the whole Turkish race, knowing well that will make most TCs throw their arms up in horror and justify their fear and apprehension of the Greeks and the GCs...So I can only assume you are doing it intentionally, sabotaging all attempts by the likes of me,miltiades,Kikapu,RW,Pyro, iceman,Nikitas,Bananiot,Cypez et al, to promote understanding and empathy between our communities...

I was angry because of my firm belief that only if we can put our ethnic roots behind us,and embrace each other as one nation of Cypriots, can we ever expect to get out of this mess. Your posts give credibility to Zan's assertions that I am farting and pissing in the wind...That is what I was angry about...Oh,and it gives the likes of Eric dayi a stick to beat us unionists over the head with...But you know all this,so I am still pissing in the wind,i suppose...

Ella re Dr., I stand beside you to piss in the wind, not just because you are my brother but because this is the moment for those who love this island to join us.

You once said to me that my proposal was a good one as a definition for bicommunalbizonal, but no one will want to take it seriously. Unless there is something else that is more Just I ask you, and all the readers, to read it and to send a copy of it with your support to our political representatives because you do not want to support any fait accompli, and you do not believe that things should stay the same, since, for them to have a true basis of negociation as Cypriots, they need this communication (and others) now.
