Kafene, I'd kill for a kilo of those huge dark cherries right now... I could eat so many I'd probably end up in hospital... :(

GR either has a Lamborgini (maybe not, too low a chasis) or his wifes super Honda Jazz. That would take care of the Troodos roads.

:lol: I was hoping you wouldn't reveal the lambo to the lads! 8) All I ever really wanted was to "fit in" with them... :(

OK that's more like it. Last time we bought a few kilos to bring back to Paphos with us, by the time we got to Paphos we only had the stems and the pips left. :)

Ghaouromila (donkey apples). They are slightly sour. All around Troodos region I beleive. Donkeys like eating them. :)

I think the whole region there including Moutoullas grows them...

Oh sorry, I thought that was a metaphor for the big cherries... :lol:

They are the best...I buy 10kgs from a Cypriots grower up in the mountains at the start of Dec every year...all of their produce is destined for the export markets, but when it comes to Cypriots we get first choice :lol: ...Usually they call me the same say they pick them...

Also they make excellent red wines and best of all zivania :lol:
