You are one of the few luck ones but most other TCs have lost not only property but things of sentimental value that were destroyed for ever never to be seen again.

Sounds terrible, but what made you come to this God forsaken place? :?

I was born in Lefkosha, Kibris GR, as were my Turkish Cypriot parents and as was theirs Turkish Cypriot parents as was their Turkish Cypriot parents and as was theirs and so on and so on.

Only left because we were chased by ENOSIS seeking GCs and Greeks, isolated and forced to get out because we had no place to go and no jobs, our houses were burned down or demolished as was our Mosques.

Yeah, it was a terrible place anywhere in Cyprus for us TCs at the time but since the partition in 1974 life in the TRNC is million times better and I am planning to return some time soon. :D :D :D :D :D
