Exactly as you say it. Trying to find "purity" of race in any given community, unless they live in a remote area, is a risky business. Confusing culture for race is also risky, you can end up proclaiming loudly that Alexander the Great was an Orthodox Christian (I heard it at a Christmas lunch and nearly choked on my turkey).

Really! And who owns your asses? You certainly lost your central Asian looks over the years. How did that happen? Be careful about this genealogical stuff, it might surprise you in unexpected ways. Llike the thalassaemia genes which are prevalent in Cypriots as a whole but not so in mainland Greeks or Turks.

Only an idiot will deny that Gul may be right. During the Ottomanisation of Anatolia many Orthodox were converted becoming 'Turks'. The Ottomans consisted of all the Christian subject states/peoples including Arabs, North Africans.

After the Balkan wars, the Turkish population was diluted further with the influx of All moslems from the Balkans (whatever ethnic origin they were.)
As far as our Cypriot identity is concerned, most TCs would carry Cypriot blood, not necessarily 100% GC, as they dont exist. (genealgically speaking.) That is not denying that there are Cypriots of Pure Turkish descent.

When ever 2 communities in Cyprus tries to come together these idiots comes out with this stupid ideas and subjects .
Don't listen them and don't argue with them .
