Make sure the vehicle meets the requires specifications to drive on Cyprus roads before you import it over.

Speak to the DRMV (Deputy registrar of Motor vehicles) they will give you all the info.

As for how much it will cost to ship it over speak with a company like 5 continents

i cant possibly think of a us made car thats worth shipping over.

please dont follow the trend and bring a mustang or a vette. the few i saw over the years disapeared. its just not worth it

a muscle car would be cool and have some wow factor but meh, good luck trying to keep it running. if you're not tax exempt look into buying a house instead:)

Why bother with an American car? It would be unreliable and you wouldn't find a mechanic to work on it + parts would be hard to get and expensive
Not to mention a big American car wouldn't be ideal for the small roads here
Also, the shipping costs would be quite large and if the engine capacity is over 3000cc you pay stupid amounts of tax (depending on year of car as well) and the MAXIMUM tax rebate is like 7K which of what I hear is near impossible to get anyway.

Realistically... (and in my humble opinion) there has been no car to come out of the US to be worth all this. For starters, Cyprus is small, and hence has many corners which require the car to change direction, something American cars aren't known to do well.

At the same time, there are planty of off-roaders here and overall the cost of shipping it + taxing it - the money you can get for selling it and taking into consideration the hassle, it becomes really not worthwhile
