Theoretically speaking they arean't any Turkish Cypriots in Cyprus...Considering "turkey=fascist state" became a fascist country in the early 1900...

What we have here are Ottomans...So they should be refered to as the Ottoman Cypriots...

To be called a Turkish Cypriot, you must come from "turkey=fascist state" after 1920 and settled in Cyprus...

If the Ottomans claim they have been in Cyprus for over 400 years then how could they be known as Turkish Cypriots?

This is actually correct but the real reason is the 1923 Treaty of Lausanne when all Turkish Cypriots remaining on Cyprus signed away their Turkish nationality.

Those who loved and were loyal to Turkey were honorable enough to say "No thank you, we're leaving" and left.

Having lost in WWI Turkey had officially signed away ALL CLAIMS TO CYPRUS, including the right of intervention, in the 1923 Treaty of Lausanne.

ARTICLE 20.
Turkey hereby recognises the annexation of Cyprus proclaimed by the British Government on the sth November, 1914.

In the next article (21) the message to Turkish Cypriots is very clear… either become Cypriot or move back to Turkey. The choice was theirs.

ARTICLE 2I .
Turkish nationals ordinarily resident in Cyprus on the 5th November, 1914, will acquire British nationality subject to the conditions laid down in the local law, and will thereupon lose their Turkish nationality. They will, however, have the right to opt for Turkish nationality within two years from the coming into force of the present Treaty, provided that they leave Cyprus within twelve months after having so opted.
Turkish nationals ordinarily resident in Cyprus on the coming into force of the present Treaty who, at that date, have acquired or are in process of acquiring British nationality in consequence of a request made in accordance with the local law, will also thereupon lose their Turkish nationality.
It is understood that the Government of Cyprus will be entitled to refuse British nationality to inhabitants of the island who, being Turkish nationals, had formerly acquired another nationality without the consent of the Turkish Government.

Well no, Turkey didn't exist back then. The Ottomans would get rid of all their bad apples by sending them away to serve on captured territory etc. Being sent to Cyprus was a form of exile and when they would arrive here they were always rejected by the locals for obvious reasons and thus the identity crisis.

So are they going to want an "Ottoman Republic of North Cyprus" partitioned from the "Turkish Republic of North Cyprus" .....

Would they have this further "North" or further "South" or further "West" .......

e.g.

"Ottoman Republic of North-East North Cyprus" .... "ORNENC"

or if they had the Morphou Bay area partitioned off it would be

"Ottoman Republic of South-West North Cyprus" .... The "ORSWNC"

But wait, if that bit was partitioned off from "TRNC", then the "TRNC" would have to be renamed "Turkish Republic of North East and South Northern Cyprus" or the "TRNESNC".
