Are you not happy about being called Ottoman Cypriots?


Just not used to it. Can't say it bothers me.

How about you being called Dorian Greeks, or whenever you claim you first started trading with Cypriots and settled here?

From my limited reading of Greek history I suspect many will have been "Exiled Greeks", or perhaps "Defeated Greeks".

Why the hell would be embarrassed about our ancestry!! :roll: :roll: :roll: I am quite keen to learn more about where my people came from and the arts and crafts of of the era........I am collecting some bits when I can find them and displaying them proudly.....Why are you so concerned.... :?

The question GR asked was on the Ottomans...ergo........I know there will be a cross over because of the great influence of Ottoman rule in the region.....The food and the music is testament to that...You seem to like both :wink: :wink: 8)
