I watched the part 3 that worked fine with me and kind of give me an idea of what is the "great idea"

I disagree with what they are saying because I believe in the freedom ... I totally disagree with school, religion or families that try to put things into children's mind. You teach them how to judge good or bad on their own not tell them what is good and what is not. I want children who draw how they feel and not what we told them to draw and how we want them to do it. I want children who are not afraid to raise their hands and say what they believe even that might be wrong to us. I want children to be able to use their brain and not just be robots that do as we told them.

Yes I agree that some of the ideas are good and they should think like that like love their parents etc ... but imagine a child growing up in a family that abuse that child and the school keeps saying to him/her that he have to love his parents and that parents are always right....I wonder if that child will be able ever to open his mouth and say enough when he is a child or when he/she grow up and become an adult. My example is not extraordinary free-cyprus. There millions of children that need to build their self-confidence and not just make them act sheep

While I agree with what you are saying Lena I believe those days are with us. Children have changed from what those of us in our thirties or above remember. Freedom of expression has elavated the child from what we considered a 12 year old to know, to looking at them and treating them as young adults.
Time will tell wether this was the right way to teach and treat a child.

Purdey I am a teacher and trust me I disagree with so many things that education system has at the moment that you will be surprised.

I dont understand in which way you mean they treat them like adults.

One of the most important things I learn during my bachelor is that children are children and they need to be treated like that so can you explain me what exactly do you mean by that?

I will agree with the fact that children nowadays have more responsibilities when it comes with the school but they have less when it comes with what comes after school. As far as I know children (from poor families most of the time) were working afternoons or weekends from young age...now it is not legal to do that so they have more time to study and act like children.

They used to be beaten by teacher as a matter of discipline not anymore because they are treated as children ... of course the freedom with no limits to the point to disrespect the teachers (even beat them or torture them) is the other end which I disagree.

Would you like to explain me what exactly you mean by the "treating them as young adults"?

I believe from experience, I have a 12 year old daughter. Children today are maturing quickly. There child like days seem to end before the last year of primary school. They seem to have a confidence and are more aware of what is happening in the world. This maybe down to Tv, internet, and alike but on the whole they seem far more mature.
In secondry school the approach seems different, more emphasis is put on interaction with the child, rather than quoting constantly from books, views are sought even if it contradicts what is written. Conversation in general is more adult themed and expression is not frowned upon.
I am delighted with the education my daughter recieves, she enjoys school and has likes and respects the teaching staff.
There are downsides of course, I am not wholly in favour of some of the sex education classes taught, but on the whole the learning process seems to more relaxed with attention focusing on attaining good results in exams.

lena you are a teacher and you dont even know how your own mind works unfortuantly from what you have wrote to me. there are ugly things out there as you hav pointed out but at least kenan hudaverdi whom i know personaly has the guts to even petition the prime minister in this idea and i totaly believe in the idea.

but since you are a teacher who does not know how her own mind works perhaps you can put forth and idea that will benefit the human race
