More accurately: they are Greek Cypriot armed men who happen to be members of a military organization established and regulated in complete contravention to the constitution of the RoC as defined at the time of her establishment.

Do you REALLY think it's wise to bring up things that contravene the RoC constitution given your support of the most ILLEGAL move against it called the "TRNC"? :?

I can safely assume you've skipped breakfast... :(

The military organization, whose members shown in the picture above, was both established in complete contravention to the constitution and has been set off to launch criminal attacks on the TCs before the TRNC and/or before '74.

If I remember well, the RoC constitution DOES have provision for GC, TC, Greek, and Turkish contingents although the acceptable numbers have been surpassed by all and sundry...

See the following for a similar discussion:
http://www.cyprus-forum.com/viewtopic.p ... ht=#266124

You have assembled a military institution in violation of (what was) the RoC constitution and have been using it to devastate the TC people since the early 60s. These violations precede both the establishment of the TRNC and '74. These violations are ongoing.
You can not break the constitution in your favor, kill, enclave and embargo the TC community and at the same time expect them to yield on their inalienable right to actually do something about all of it.

Get Real! wrote:With regards to the launch of attacks, had Turkish Cypriots NOT sided with the colonialist-British against the EOKA struggle, things might have been different today but I guess we'll never know...

Oh I see.. so if we fought along with EOKA to annex the island to Greece in the late 50s, we would not have deserved our losses from your attacks after the establishment of RoC...

Now louder please so they can hear you all the way from New York and Brussels 8)

No mention of the 40 thousand Turkish occupying troops , or are they not in VIOLATION of the ROC constitution , forgetting of course that the ENTIRE world sees the Turkish army in Cyprus as an occupying force.

The Hellenic flag might be a clue!!!

No Deniz mou .... there were flags of all descriptions and aplenty, flying around ... t'would be very easy to capture three men in camouflage having a stroll past any one :D

The evidence before me your''onour', is a Hellenic and perhaps a droopy Cyprus flag. If you would provide a wider angled picture showing all the other flags, I will reconsider.

Look through Halil's .... there are at least two other predominately red and white ones flapping around .... which don't even figure in the full parade of EU flags, such as you see outside various establishments in any EU-member country .... :D ....

There are red and white flags but NO Turkish soldiers. You quoted me with regards the pic of Greek speaking soldiers. I see only two flags. Provide your evidence, please.

Deniz, kindly read through the whole of these quotes again ... before you work yourself up into a frenzy having brought language into it now as well

There were flags some EU, some non-EU, and there were men in camouflage ... Murataga got into a tizz too ..... but the rest is speculation, and as GR! pointed out, we don't have the benefit of knowing exact dates ......

Enough mind-gymnastics ... housework beckons ..... :D

Deniz ,
When i was started a tread about Lokmaci gate .....Same allagations was on and on ...... at time i was invited my dear friend DT for a lunch around Lokmaci to see with his own eyes that there was no Turkish Troops . But behind the Greek side of the wall there was always Greek Troops . Turkish Cypriot troops are 100 meters away the gate stationed . That area was always empty from the troops . They were doing their regular patrolling in the street before the gates opened . They were all fussing about to find excuse not the open gates . They had no choise , it was the only one way to give image to world .they are willing to ..... but they have to show the world ..... problem is Turkish Troops........
i can paste to many pictures where the Greek Troops stationed at Nicosia but what we can gain nothing . Important is Deniz , both side have to sit on the table and solve the Cyprus problem very soon . we have no time to wait another 30 years or more .
we have rights to know what will be future of our childrens . İ am not intersting about lolo los .....

Hoping more members will post more pictures about Ledra (lokmaci) past and present pictures..... i am trying to get picture that was shown first gate closining time .(1958)
