Hi Everyone,

i am 28, foreigner, with no previous insurance. I moved to Cyprus, bought a car, and went to Gan Direct to make an insurance. They refused me completely with the argument: i cant provide them with a no-claim-proof. (no bec i never had a car on my name before, i was driving my boyfriend`s or father`s car, and i was never mentioned as second driver)
The assistant also said i am refused bec i dont have any experience driving on the "other" side.

I made my license 9 years ago, never caused accident, and i am from the european union.

Is this possible? Are they allowed to refuse me?

If not, how can i argue, so they WILL make a contract with me?

(i payed for my car but without insurance i cant get it on my name, i cant drive it so i dont even have it!!)

There is an insurance agent nr the Aliada in Limassol. From the Aliada walk down the st on your left there is a row of shops, he is there, next to the antique book seller.
He will do a search on all insurance companies in Cyprus.

i found one noe, called Abbeygate, they answered my email right away and the price is acceptable, so if i dont find ag bad about them in google, i will take them...
