Two First ladies met

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Two First ladies met

Postby halil » Tue Apr 08, 2008 12:59 pm

Mrs Oya Talat has paid a visit to the Greek Cypriot Leader’s wife, Elsi Christofias at her home in South Lefkosa.
The two First ladies agreed to contribute towards a solution to the Cyprus problem.
First Ladies expressed the hope that peace and solution would soon be brought to the island.

Mrs Talat presented flowers to Mrs Christofias as a symbolic gift of friendship and peace.

Mrs Christofias responded by giving a Lefkara Lace to Mrs Talat.
At the end of the visit, Mrs Christofias told reporters that she was very pleased to host Mrs Talat at her home.

She added that Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots have many things in common.

For her part, Oya Talat expressed the hope that her visit would be a starting step towards improving dialogue between the two people of the island, adding that they would work together to build a bridge between the two people.

At the end of the visit, Mrs Talat invited Mrs Christofias to her home.

Just to make sure no tree huggers carrying peace placards do not pass the buffer. Peace must be a horrible and offensive word in Turkish culture.

Zan, Eric and yourself seem to prove it with you hard line approach against peace. You show me one post where you have displayed a moderate tone or seem to incinuate in giving the peace process a chance. Your aim is to derail it before it even begins.

Paphitis people like Zan and Eric are simply responding to your racist attitudes.

You have 230 posts so far. We have made thousands of posts for peace, maybe just not in line with your understanding of "peace" or maybe you have not actually read most of them, but never the less we do not wish anything bad on anyone.

We have achieved peace as people, and where we go from here i don't know but whatever we do i do not want to take 1 step back from it. That's my understanding of "peace". Whats yours?

On the contrary, here you are making sweeping comments about other cultures, and suggesting that we are warmongers. Before you have suggested that i might kill you if we met.

Bit of an oxymoron don't you think?

What peace are you talking about Pipithis? You as the majority and us TCs as the minority?

Or are you talking about the "international incident" where the GC border police intentionally and provokingly let some idiot "protester" through to cause a reaction from us TCs in order to have an excuse to shut the crossing so that you GCs can AGAIN cry crocodile tears?

Or are you talking about replacing a TERRORIST with a COMMUNIST as your "PRESIDENT"?

You GCs tried every trick in the book and used up every excuse to keep a stale mate on the island untill things turned in your favour but electing a COMMUNIST as your "President" in a democratic EU was a BAAAAAAAAAAD move, and that a new EU member.

BAAAAAAAD for you GCs but GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD for us TCs and the TRNC.
