problems with emails after a virus

Postby Bill » Mon Apr 07, 2008 11:29 am

I've some how managed to pick up a virus from a link about water cuts in Cyprus ~ my virus killer kicked in and has disposed of it but I've been left with a few problems .

1 ~~ I can't access my email from my providers home page ( I'm in the UK at the moment ) every attempt comes up with Error 405

2 ~~ If I try to click on the emoticons on this or other forums nothing happens ~ same happens when I click on news items on the home page.

3 ~~ The latest news banner on my home page is now not working and remains blank and doesn't scroll the news as before.

There are probably lots of other things affected but that's all I've found up to now .

At this particular time I desperately need my email to be fully functional

Any idea's would be gratefully appreciated.

Start with deleting all your cookies and temporary internet files. After that reboot your machine.

First download and run ATF-Cleaner from here...

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/atfcleaner.html

...and Click on > Select All > Empty Selected

Next download and install Spyware Terminator from here...

http://www.spywareterminator.com/download/download.aspx

Make sure you UPDATE it first before you commence scanning.

Get back to me if the problem persists.

I don't know what that Error 405 is, but the other 2 problems sound like javascript in your browser is turned off. Tell me what browser you are using and I will tell you how to turn it back on.
