It's not in the OED yet but I suspect some would agree that it ought to be. A very useful word for members of the forum, certainly my old man found it useful when describing me in my youth and I think he still uses it to describe my mother! Typical older generation village Cy.

Here's the adjective sence.

Xerocephalic

nOT BEING A gc, CAN i ASK IF THE 'x' AND 'z' WOULD BE INTERCHANGEABLE?. tHEY BOTH WOULD SOUND LIKE 'Z', BUT ITS BEST TO GET IT RIGHT. (sorry about the CAPS, pesky cats)

If it means what I think it does, it is a great word.

Here it's more of a definite, hard "X" sound.

Hmmm, so it is not Zero? zerocephalic? if not what would xerocephalic mean?

Zerocephalic. Excellent new word D. Presumably your new word would mean empty headed, whereas the use of the noun "xerocephalos" (with an X) in gr Cy means something like dry-headed or perhaps we would say thick-headed in English. (I think)
