I planted a few seeds last week ... does one really need to wait that long for a harvest?
BTW .... I have Prickly pear needles in my left thumb ... forgot the old rule about brown paper bags (no one uses them anymore!)

You wont forget the next time. You can hold the fruit at its base. It is usually 'prick' free. They are really modified leaves, as you well know. Scrub them under running water (if any) or learn how to peel using a knife and fork. Watch a street seller do it expertly.

Hubby has been sneezing repeatedly since arrival, due to high Olive tree pollen count ...

Touch .... Have you seen the high tech contraptions surrounding it to keep light fingers away ...
We studied it carefully, son and I, intent on returning on a "Mission Impossible" type scam ... but admitted defeat .... especially since the Cypriot Foreign Minister was due a visit a few days later and we did not want to soil relationships ....
