How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Could it be that policing the buffer zone was not thought about in depth. It should be UN, but from pictures I have seen, there were only a handful of UN, not enough for crowd control.

How long ago did I ask this question....what are these people doing....

The UN are doing ..... all as per usual. Never effective when really needed. Waste of money. Well , they are on a holiday island.

Do they know that there is a problem on the island or are they just watching the Red arrows all the time

Are the arrows of cupid red colour. Is this the beginning of 'love' between GC and TC? The UN as 'voyeurs'? what next.

It do hope that this was a one off. I hope to experience the opening of Ledra St myself when I am in Cyprus at the end of April.

You fools, if it wasn't the responsibility of the TC side, but instead that of the GC side, wouldn't Bananiot have already been here to make the big announcement and "nail" the GC side?

Kifeas, I would have given you a bit more credit had you not mentioned Bananiot.

Anyway, I hope it will all blow over. More important were any Turkish soldiers in sight? Did YOU see any. Please let us know.

Deniz, what is important, is not whether you give me credit or not! What is important is that after what every single GC saw in their TV sets last night, which was the 3rd in a raw since the morning of the 3rd of April, there isn't even a single non-bad faith one that did not understand and acknowledged how correct Papadopoulos was to object to the opening of the street. Furthermore, every single GC saw, realized and felt the slap in Mr. Christofia's face, by Mr. Talat. It is not by accident that Mr. Christofias cut short his planned trip in London, were he would have met among others the British Prime Minister, in order to immediately return to Cyprus, 10 hours after he departed.

The incident(s) is (are) far more serious than you imagine. Unfortunately, Mr. Talat can no further be taken seriously as an interlocutor, nor any other TC leader. Who calls the shots (and pulls the strings,) is the Turkish army and no one else! If Mr. Talat has the slightest drop of dignity, he should resign and tell the international community and the UN with whom the GCs can possibly negotiate anything! Certainly not with him or any other TC leader, neither with Mr. Erdogan or Gul! Cherche la “République” de Turquie!

Kifeas, I am sorry you feel like that. I think you exagerate the feelings too much.

Have a nice weekend.
