You are both welcome to make your ways up to Lefke in the North West coast and find me.
We also have a Dam with water and fish in it Bill, so that's 2 great reasons to travel
I think I will give that a miss. Somehow I do not think I would make it back alive.
Well that right there my friend, is the very essence of the conflict itself.
Serious lack of trust and understanding from each side. You dont see us as individuals but as a whole, which is very wrong in my opinion.
I can assure you that no TC feeds on GC flesh and to be honest (and I'm not saying this as a TC but as a Cypriot) the South is way more hostile compared to us.
I truly don't feel welcome there hence why i don't bother going anymore, but i must also add that i have not once felt threatened in any way.
No. I do not fear the majority of TCs. Been to the Occupied areas before and felt safe accept for the one time when I was taken in for questioning at Trikomo Police station for questioning when a TC rear ended me. That was scary as the TC was let free despite him being at fault for the accident.
All in all, I just fear you Shah, as your ideas seem to be very nationalistic and your tone indicates a deep hatred towards GCs. I hope I am wrong about this.
Re Bafidis,
I have been studying a lot of posts and their reactions. I am of the opnion that a very large proportion of TCs do not hate the GCs. I dont knowwhere you got the idea from. At most there may be mistrust in some quarters. That also goes both ways methinks. We can learn to trust each other, it is not difficult.
I do not fear the TCs. Maybe only some in a small minority of that community. But there are bad eggs in every batch. Maybe Shah is that bad egg. It seems like it from his posts. And as I said, I hope I am wrong, but I am unwilling to risk it.
But, If I was in Cyprus, I would not have any problem with meeting with any other TCs for coffee and what not. I had lunch once with a TC family in Kythrea, and they were very lovely and hospitable. In fact, I still keep in touch and we are basically friends.
And I agree that we can learn and build trust between the 2 communities. I am all for that.
