On the B8 Troodos road the only two resaturants that I can personally recommend are

Platanos, on left hand side of road in Moniatis, excellent kebebs

Makris, on right side of road also in Moniatis but a few kilometers further up. Brilliant Sunday lunch. Get there early and try the Condo Souvla.

Another restaurant I have not tried yet but is always crowded at weekends is Comet, on the right just before Alassa; it used to be called fengaria.
Has anyone been there?

I agree with Petros and FYC but would add

Georges Pub next to Marathon Hotel (Sliced liver, Bacon & onions to die for)

Are you mad, liver?

Well, I have bought my huge leg of lamb - although I could not find a boneless one!

Letting it thaw tonight so I will be following your recipe tomorrow (accompanied by the Merlot) and I will report back on Sunday! Can hardly wait! Cheers

Bubbles,

It works for bone-in cuts too, just let it cook a while longer. Test with your meat thermometer for internal temp around 170 F. Not Celsius (cant remember the equivalent to be honest!).

Will do, thanks :) About 80 C I think - cooking nice and slowly - the smell will be great!

Went to Blue Island last night with Mrs MM and some friends, the food was divine.

Ps, on an earlier post i asked about a restaurant on the B8 which I erroneously called 'Comet'; it is in factt cahhed Meteor.
Close but no cigar
