Gender issue.

Do female forum members feel there is a gender issue on Cyprus-Forum.
Do you feel bullied or ridiculed when posting ?

No I don't think there is a gender problem as such. However there is a system of bullying going on. I myself received some DREADFUL abuse, even wishing my son dead when I critised a hateful one liner in another thread (simply because it was not adding to the discussion in any way). The type of abuse directed to women IS meant to hurt, but I think that men on here are just as abused, but in a different way. I admit that I enjoy some of the more light hearted "banter" - I poke fun at myself often!!! BUT, its knowing when to draw the line I suppose.

I would also add that crying about "its because I am a woman" is as funny as that famous one liner:
"is it coz I's black" ? and rather pathetic.
Plus:
If you live in a glass house do not throw stones!!!
If you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen!!!

BUT BULLYING and nasty racist comments are something else entirely. Which, I might add is practised on a rather regular basis by a woman on this forum!!!!

There are no gender issues.

There are only those who cannot discuss through lack of knowledge or intellect, and will resort to any imbecilic tactics they can manage.

Easy things for them to pick on are age, menopause, phallic offerings, hair, weight, sex ....

Since I post regularly in the Cyprob section and this is where demands for dialectis is greatest, as soon as an argument cannot be countered they resort to insults from the above list.

Cannot always tell who is male or female so not necessarily an issue for me!

Definite bullying/racism/ridicule goes on - way too much actually, sad, but true and not just between genders. The majority of posts are done in good humour, but some people definitely set out to hurt/demean/bully other forum users - sometimes this backfires and they are left looking like the wally/wallyess that they really are! IMHO :(

Mob mentality is my main gripe.

When they see that a particular member is being picked on, there are those with a mob mentality that cannot wait to use this as an opportunity to have a go at someone themselves. I notice people join in with whom I may never have had an exchange with before ... Sad!

Because I regularly have threads devoted to abusing me ... courtesy of females not just males (eg Bubbles etc) it gives others the freedom to assume they can do the same.

So I find a snowballing effect taking place for a while before the dust settles ... There are also off-shoots such as this one.

Yeah ... what I detest the most is mob mentality as it tends to attract those sorts of people you would not want to exchange with on an individual basis, let alone have half a dozen similarly afflicted lowlifes hounding as a pack.

There are at least three packs that I know work together ... one of them unfortunately contains a number of the female members who work the insults together.

I guess it could be viewed as a compliment by the "picked-upon" if people have to band together to have an effect ....

For the sake of God ..please. You are at it again. You are picking again by naming forum users. We went through the same thing a few weeks ago.
I posted this thread as an offshoot of the locked thread, because I thought it was fair to ask the question, but again you have thrown your rattle out of the pram.
You have an uncanny knack sweetie of attacking the majority of people, and then cry off when they retaliate, I am sorry but what goes around comes around.

Telling the truth about your racist rantings is not abuse, so do not include me in your sick delusions! You really must hate me as this is not the first time you have singled me out. I tell the truth - and it obviously gets to you !!!

Suppose I will be part of the mob mentality when I shout 'Here, here' then!
