So after all this crap about memes Oracle posts a commentary which says ... it's a load of crap. Midgley thinks its nonsense, Darwin never spoke of memes, even Freud avoided this nonsense, and no way did Marx use the notion of meme.

Do I have any evidence ? Look at the entire work of Marx and Engels and tell me if they ever write about memes ? No, because the notion of cultural or social memes as an explanation of social behaviour is bollocks from beginning to end.

If you spent your time Oracle reading Marx, Engels, Darwin or even Freud and Midgely, you'd be doing us all a favour instead of wasting valuable pixels and bytes.
