All the more sickening then to see governments wasting money that could be spent on cancer research while charities have to beg borrow and steal money from us to provide basic facilities to patients.
Bastards!
I think governments see cancer as a means of keeping the population down !!
Two out of five people will get some form of cancer during their life time ,
frightening when you think that cancer is one of the oldest diagnosed deceases and yet still no permanent cure.
Much progress has been made over the last 15 years or so and cancer patients are now expected to live longer and cope with with cancer .
I think most on the forum know my personal involvement with cancer issues so I shall not dwell on any more.
On a happier note , my wife , a cancer sufferer (ovarian ) for 6 years now,
is currently in Cyprus spending a little time with our grand daughter and the new grand son , she was first diagnosed in April 2002 . We were given little hope when later on that year she underwent an operation that had to be aborted following the discovery of the decease on the liver. Almost 6 years later she is still around and fighting . Much has happened over the last 6 years , our daughter getting married , our grandchildren been born ,
and last but not least the regrowth of all of my teeth , indeed a great scientific event soon to be published by the Lancet Medical journal !!! The hair too is beginning to re grow !!!
