The georgaphical map you show does not mean anything in isolation. The ancient Macedonians were GREEKS. They spoke Greek, they wrote Greek and that is proved by the historical record.

The people that call themselves Macedonians today are Albanians and Slavs which bear no relation to ancient Macedonia.

If you cared to READ the website that you pointed to in your post you will see that Macedonians spoke a form of ancient Greek. It also proves and describes how Greece came about and that it was essentially made up of City states in which Macedonia became one of.

There is no mention of Slavs and Albanians. If anything, the map indicates that Greece should expand to engulf FYROM! Obviously this isn;t going to happen because the population of FYROM today bears no relation to ancient Macedonians and as such Greece has no teritorial ambitions on FYROM. However the population of FYROM wishes to link itself historically to ancient Macedonians, which they cannot do, as proved by the historical record.

No one denies that Mikkie, if you are referring to the Istanbul Pogrom then it was a long time a go during a very unstable period in Turkey and the perpetrators have been trialed and executed, so what is your excuse Mr. EU member in the year 2008?

Did you know that the muslims in Western Thrace are not all of Turkish decent? That is why Greece insists on calling them muslims and not Turks because only 50% of these people are actually of Turkish decent. Yet the Turks label ALL the muslims in the region as Turkish in order to pursue their own agenda.

I never said or implied anything like this. I am simply stating facts. One fact is that the muslim population in Thrace is not exclusively of Turkish decent.

I have no problem in a specific group indentifying themselves as Turkish. What I have a problem with is when Turkey herself labels ALL mulsims in Western Thrace as Turkish, and that is the problem.
