Sky state that a sky plus subscription is required to take advantage of Sky anytime which means you have to be resident in the UK ~ well, as far as they know anyway ~ if you are going to subscribe to Sky plus you might as well put up a dish.
As Sky it's self is not supposed to be available outside of the UK so they may prevent you from accessing the internet version by locking out non UK based IP addresses ~ ITV . com and 4OD already do this .
I down loaded the necessary programs to enable my lap top to get ITV and 4OD on line before coming to Cyprus and they don't work here ~ it comes up with "only available within the UK" on the screen, I presume they know I'm not in the UK from my IP address.
so it looks good but from what info I can gather it doesn't actually work outside the UK.

Interesting that one and they probably can do it just like ITV did. If this is the case what is the point of watching TV on your laptop from home? Not much!
If anyone knows if this works let me know.
If you pay Sky £50 per month like I do then I really should be able to watch Sky TV from whatever country, really.
We will wait and see I guess!
