Bananiot,

Could you pls answer a couple of questions to satify my curiosity. No offence and nothing adverse about my asking I promise.

Recently in a post you stated that you were from Gypsou.
I have assumed (from you anti GC posts) that you are a TC.
You appear to know the family of KKitros.

The reason I ask is, my father in law is from Gypsou. He used to visit the kkitros family home many years ago as a youngster as his aunty lived over the road. I asked my F-I-L if there were TCs living in Gypsou and to his knowledge none did.

Unless I have made a mistake would you be so kind as to put me straight on this matter.

Many Thanks

Pantheman,

Peculiarly, I thought your posts are anti Greek but I never associated you with Turkish Cypriots.

Yes, I do herald from the fair village of Gypsou and Kkitros was a next door neighbour of mine. Philippos, his son, was my classmate. I suggest, since you know the family, you get a copy of the text Philippos's son read at the funeral of Kkitros. It was a catapult against nationalism and chauvinism. You see, in my village I was on the side of the majority and Piratis has better to respect this. Unlike the nearby villages of Lefkonoiko and Trikomo, Gypsos was a bastion of progressiveness and we boast that we never hurt a single Turkish Cypriot especially during the period when the paramilitarists went on a killing spree.

I hope the above answers your question, Pantheman.

As this is a page about you Bananiot I would like to take this opportunity to say how much I admire you my friend. Even if you do not see me as a friend for the way I feel I have to behave on this Forum it does not matter. You fill my heart with a love of Cyprus and I am not just saying that, it is a fact. I said it once and I will say it again.....When I grow up I want to be Bananiot.

.... maybe that's because there were none around in your village ...

... Just kidding! .... of course no TCs were ever hurt by any GCs whether they were around or had to be eek-ed out .... :D
