Faithful to your wife and an utter slut towards your country...
He loves th TRNC and doesnt give a shit about your GC state.
And that's precisely why he is an utter slut towards his country because if you look under "Countries of the world" you won't find anything called "TRNC"...
You have a point but think of this. Though we have a choice to choose the ROC and call it our own, we choose the TRNC which doesn't even exist. What does that say about the ROC?
I think it has more to say about your leaders’ & Turkey’s underlying agenda then it does about the RoC.
We want to reunite but under the right conditions. Is that too much to ask for?
The “right conditions” you ask for are stepping all over my human rights because they include an undemocratic disproportional weight in votes. How dare you assume you’re worth 2.5 votes and I only 0.3 ???
Personally I don't want to take anything away from you. I will leave it to the UN, EU, USA and the rest of the decision makers to present a plan that will give both sides the desired result.
I will respect and accept the plan because I'm fed up with the status quo and want the best for my beautiful island. Will you do the same?
I support democracy, one man one vote, and will accept nothing less. I am also happy to offer Turkish Cypriots special SOCIAL privileges like priority employment, housing and car subsidies, etc, to get them settled down for the first 2-3 years, and I feel that's plenty more than we ever got.
Everything you've offered are offered here in the UK to the disabled. Please do not treat us as such. We don't want charity, we want to be able to offer those you offer us to the underprivileged. We want to be bosses, like you. After all it was my great grand fathers island a century ago. If my great grandfather was a real control freak you would have been speaking Turkish now and we wouldn't have this argument.
It’s not a matter of charity but a matter of competitiveness.
Most of your population, that is the ones that have never worked or studied overseas, won’t be able to compete with their GC counterparts so giving them a special starting financial package including evening classes on industry standards etc, would be very beneficial to get them kick-started. Those that are foreign educated and/or have worked in the west shouldn’t have any problems.
Sorry but I doubt you know anything about the status of the TRNC. I travel to the TRNC once a year. I come to Larnaca because its more convenient to me. I can only judge the economy from what I see. Lets talk about development, I see more luxuries buildings in the north. As for cars, bloody hell, where is the money coming from? What is it with these cars. Its as if there is a competition. Its mind boggling. BMWs Mercedes Porsche Lexus Ferrari and the list goes on. I drive from Larnaca and see the cars on the roads, they are no match to what I see in the north.
So please, I think your evening classes should be to your people and it should titled "how to keep up with the Joneses" The TCs being the Joneses.
