I agree with what you are saying about the Syrians, but it would also be very easy to smuggle in a few terrorists among a consignment of illegal economic migrants.

No warnings as yet from the Jewish community in Limassol,at present they are more concerned with the price of foodstuffs and airfares to Israel and the UK.

It's a very interesting post as I imagine there could be a serious possible threat to Israeli nationals in the ROC .

Surprisingly it will not be from the Cypriots but from the many Palestinian and Iraqi immigrants now living in Cyprus .

I was amazed to read in the news that the Israeli Security Agency Shin Bet and the secret service Mossad have issued warnings to Israelis not to travel to South Cyprus for fear of being attacked or abducted!!! Has anyone else heard about this? Why are Israelis not welcome in the South? Who would be behind attacking, or abducting them?

In addition to all posted belw, I understand that their is a largish presence of Palestinians present in the south. Wasnt there a PLO office in the RoC once? (or some other Palestinian origin HQ?)
