The Israeli warning about Cyprus is because this week marks the end of the 40 days of mourning for the Hezbollah guy that was killed by the Israelis 40 days or so ago. Cyprus is in close proximity to Lebanon and I heard of at least one Lebanese visitor being turned away by immigration this week. Either it's a precaution by Israeli, or they had concrete information that Cyprus would be used to get at Israeli interests. Who knows?

Israelis and Arabs have used Cyprus as a battle ground in the past. Some of you must remember the shootings in a Nicosia hotel in the past and the incident in Larnaca when Israeli agents who killed Arabs were arrested in a yacht. This latest event is another facet of the same old story.

Think it's because Israel allowed the TRNC to open a trade office there - The South attempted to put pressure on them to block it opening and Israeli Government just looked down on them and said "Who the f**k are you - grow up and stop crying and moaning".

You’ll need to provide TWO CREDIBLE LINKS, one that proves that Israel has a “trade office” in the “TRNC”, and one that proves that Israeli officials have said “Who the f**k are you - grow up and stop crying and moaning” or did you INVENT all the above by any chance?

The article clearly said Irsaelis in danger in Cyprus.

My comment regarding "Who the F**K etc.." was my spin but if you read between the lines this was what basically was the Israeli response.

Note that the office would carry out 75 per cent of the work of any normal embassy. understand there are plans for 12 other offices to be opened across the world.

With regards to your first link, no such article was ever posted on Haaretz, I happen to be a frequent reader of this paper and at one time was a regular poster on their talkbacks. So where's your evidence of a "trade office"? Posting rubbish again?
