SEVGUL ULUDAG A TRUE CYPRIOT !

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby miltiades » Thu Mar 27, 2008 11:58 pm

The Cypriot journalists Sevgul Uludag and Makarios Drousiotis have questioned THEIR island's past , they have told the stories of murders and mass graves committed by THE FANATICS of both sides without propaganda , without exonerating one side against the other. The killers were Cypriot fanatics who cared not for Cyprus but for an imaginary despot in charge of their destiny. They committed crimes against my people and against all Cypriots. As the book says , Cypriots must accept and admit that both sides committed atrocities , both sides must question their "version" of events.

GCs have expelled and persecuted these people, we have accepted both does that tell you anything?

To criticise a book without even seeing the cover amounts to utter stupidity. I was lent that book by a fellow Cypriot, and found it sad and refreshing at the same time.

I think it is time to 'boycott' this lunatic completely. I will heed other forumers advice from now on.

Before setting an eye on this BOOK that Halil gave me , I said to Halil while in Kyrenia , that this part of Cyprus is mine and yours , I do not see Kyrenia or indeed one inch of this part of Cyprus as foreign land . On page 298 of the book this what Neshe Yashin had to say :
" One should love one's homeland , so says my father , but my homeland is divided into two. Which part should I love ?
She , just as I , was refusing to love one part and not the other , she loved the whole of Cyprus just as I do .And our love for Cyprus is the only thing that will make us realize that Cyprus is ONLY ONE , and can not be divided .

We do not know the other side, all we know is the TRNc which is our country, we see the south as the GCs country and its like going abroad. You must understand that the younger generation do not identify with the GC flag, language or years of despot attitude towards TCsç

VP , read the book then make comments. You will see that both of our people sinned , both committed atrocities , both were lead by blind nationalistic bullshitters who wanted to give our country to a foreign nation , in the case of the G/Cs , Greece IN THE CASE OF THE T/Cs TURKEY.
Let us put a stop at the annihilation of a part of our country , let us tell the ROC that our nation is the nation of Cypriots and that our people are all the people of Cyprus.

How true Miltiades. I love the whole of Cyprus. Half of Cyprus is not my home, only the whole of the island is.

Out of the missing 1,500 + GCs ... over 100 were female ...

81% were over 54 years old (6% under 20) .... nearly 90% at the extreme ends of young and old ...

Why did Turkey segregate this vulnerable section of the population ... put them in coaches and send them away never to be seen again?

What could Turkey's reasoning be .... :?

None of you fools would have a clue, nor care a tuppence because all you care about is looking cool because some half-baked pseud has written a book ..... to say we have all committed atrocities ... Big Deal ... I eat books for breakfast ...

Wars cause nothing but atrocities ...

And we would never have had any of these atrocities if Turkey had foregone setting foot on this Island ....

There would be thousands of people around, save for the fact their bloodline was cut short by the vicious acts of the invaders ....
