E-Mailing problem

E-mailing problem
Can any one help please? I have been trying to e-mail a friend back in England who is with Yahoo.com. Although I am sending messages and they appear to go ( not being returned "undeliverable") she is not receiving them. I am sending via Cytanet. She can send messages to me although occassionally they do not arrive. I have tried emailing via Hotmail with the same problem.
Any ideas?

Maybe Yahoo email has a spam filter that's intercepting them?
