BRITISH FOOTBALL ACADEMY, LIMASSOL!

British Football Academy!!

Is there the need for an English Football style Academy for all ages in and around Limassol. As a qualified coach, I have been approached by many english speaking parents asking if i would set up a soccer Academy. What are your thoughts. My 2 boys already attend a private academy in limassol and i have delivered coaching there.

Regards,

Paul

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I am currently doing some analysis on football delivered around Limassol. As a qualified FA Licensed Coach and working towards my Level 3 UEFA B with Bolton Wanderers I feel that there is a scope for me to open up an Academy style coaching sessions. With my links with the Premiership club (BWFC) and contacts on island this will turn out to be a quality ran organisation. Please pass on to anyone around Limassol and beyond. If the interest is there then there will be an English ran Academy coaching football (outfield and Goalkeeping) soon. Regards Paul

that would be a good thing provided you can offer something more than te cypriot academies can. Language isn't that important to me as long as the kids are learning well and having fun while learning.

Let me know if you go ahead with it. Would love to check it out for my boy as well. He's due to be enrolled in the Apoel academy.

Again thanks for the reply, I also understand that the language is not a problem as I have delivered coaching sessions at Nikki Papavasiliou Academy as well as delivering sessions in February for Bolton Wanderers in Nicosia. I have watched many Academy's over the last 3 years and I recognise the importance of quality delivered sessions in a child friendly atmosphere. As a qualifield English FA coach, I have undertaken the FA's Psychology for football an area that needs to be addressed in the local soccer schools / Academy's in Cyprus, especially for the younger players. I will be looking at starting with children aged 5 to 16.
Again thanks for the reply, are there any more views out there? If so please post you comments.

Paul

Hi Paul
Hi everybody, yes a soccer school in this area would be good, I am also a UEFA B coach I have worked at West Ham, Chelsea, Charlton and Ipswich Town, I own and run a very successful soccer school in the UK and am looking to move abroad and start a soccer school in Cyprus in the very near future so any feedback on this would be appreciated , Paul perhaps we could meet up and talk about this together ?.

Hello

I was just wondering if you still do coaching in Limassol as it's been a year since nobody replied ... if so is there?
