GR there is no case on the bullet is has been fired, it just didn't hit anything.

It has been fired but did not hit anything....you can tell that by the grooves on the bullet made by the barrel of the weapon it was fired from..

7.62mm would make it a .308" That thing measures 13mm .500"

So are you guys saying that if you fire it straight up in the air and it falls to the ground it'll look like that?

It also has rifling marks on it to confirm it has been fired.

also 7.62mm ammo measures about 7cm in total...this "thing" is over 6cm without the housing..
