British Forces driving bomb disposal trucks...empty i hope?

Postby Raymanoff » Thu Mar 20, 2008 10:33 am

That overtook me at 130kmh yesterday lunchtime on the way to Limassol.
Please tell me that thing is empty...and even tho it could be empty on the way to Limassol but i guess on the way back it wouldn't be empty anymore?
:D

Are they using it for transporting goods also? Or strictly bomb components? :) this is so so weird...

They dont carry bombs in those vehicles they only carry the equipment to disarm or controled detonation of a device in situ.

Not strictly true. From to time they will transpost an explosive device if it cannot be detonated in situ.
Small explosives like hand grenades or ammunition will be transported to a safe area.

It's just a standard IED vehicle to deal with incidents - Has limited explosives within to deal with them

Agree small items of LSA / LSO if safe can be transported from CMD tasks and soemtimes forensic items from IED's.
