Mr Plonker

Anyways Miltiades the truth of the matter is "the bright side" is a matter of perception, and to tell you the truth not all of us think its that bright and the ones that look like they do might do purely for protecting their interests, im sure not everyone truly enjoys having to travel all the way to the other side every bloody day to work, while having to put up with racial discriminations, i sure dont even like to travel to Nicosia unless i have to, let alone to the South so i can enjoy the "brightness" of it

Ever heard of the “laws of war”? I doubt you have if you don’t even appreciate the word “occupied”.

Under the Hague Conventions of 1907 ;a group of international treaties that emerged from Hague conferences in 1899 and 1907, and specifically under "Laws and Customs of War on Land" it says…

SECTION III
MILITARY AUTHORITY OVER THE TERRITORY OF THE HOSTILE STATE

Art. 42. Territory is considered occupied when it is actually placed under the authority of the hostile army.
The occupation extends only to the territory where such authority has been established and can be exercised.

Art. 43. The authority of the legitimate power having in fact passed into the hands of the occupant, the latter shall take all the measures in his power to restore, and ensure, as far as possible, public order and safety, while respecting, unless absolutely prevented, the laws in force in the country.
