THREE TURKISH CYPRIOTS ATTACKED BY APOEL SPORTS CLUB SUPPORTERS .

Three Turkish Cypriots were the victims of a racially motivated attack yesterday when a group of Greek Cypriot Apoel Sports Club supporters attacked the car they were traveling in.
Kamiran Babat, Ozdinc Taskeser and Musa Eryener, all three who work in construction in South Cyprus, managed to escape the attack unhurt but their car was badly smashed.
The three had stopped at a red light in front of the Apoel Sports Club when suddenly a group of 15 to 20 from a larger group of 200 fans gathered in front of the club building hurled insults and started throwing beer bottles and stones at the car.
Kamiran Babat who was driving the car said that they barely managed to get away when the red light turned green.

He said that they had complained to Greek Cypriot police at the Metehan Checkpoint but had been directed to go to another police station on the grounds that they were not look into such incidents.

İf this forum was only your forum they can locked it , if it is not it is easy to move it where it should be ..... don't try to dominate the admin or others ..... this tread is nothing to do with Cyprus problem or solution .... this is a only one incidence ....which is published at TC's news papers . İ asked it to my friend DT. Have a look at the forum who makes propaganda against Turks or Turkish Cypriots .....

On the day Halil is referring to football fans attacked several cars, most belonging to GCs, saw the reports on RIK news together with viideo footage. Turning football hooliganism into a political issue is nonsense. One good thing though is that it can lead to a discussion on BANNING football and that would be a good thing.

Perhaps Cyprus can take the lead and be the first nation on earth to ban this idiotic game. In case you have not guessed yet, I no not like football.

Yes.....but that's not what Halil is saying...... Halil mentions only the car of the TC's being attacked. It could like you say be anybody...Chinese...British....German or any other nation. Halil is therefore trying to tell us that TC's are still being hated by the GC's which is defenitely propaganda. So Halil.......before you start placing these kinds of posts on forums you should get the facts right first. :-)

Lets be totally honest about it. Cars of Turkish Cypriots have been vandalised in our side. People have been beaten up, including 13 year old pupils. None of this sort has happened on the other side. Why deny it? Bring it to the open so that perpetrators can be finger pointed and made to pay for their acts. These barbarians have no place amongst us and football is just an excuse.

Beaten up? do you call a fight between a couple of youngsters (pupils) give you the right to call them barbarians. Then you are way out of order here. Is it only cars from Turkish Cypriots that get vandalised? These kind of things happen all over and have more to do with pure vandalism then with were people come from. In the football case we are talking about it could have been anyone driving along.....wrong place wrong time :-)

I guess you forgot a number of cars that were set alight at Agios Mamas in Morphou a couple of years ago on the "other side"!

Minor incidents such as these have occured on both sides and hooligans and barbarians are present on both sides of the divide and are not exclusive to the GC's.
